COLUMBUS – A 55-year-old man is facing a murder charge in connection with the stabbing death of a woman whose body was found in an East Side apartment Monday night.
UPDATE 2/5/20 7:48 a.m.: The victim has been identified as Bridget Kimble, age 40.
MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED:
Yesterday, 2/3/20@10:41pm, a female approached officers near Kelton & Livingston Ave. & advised them that a female at 1127 E. Livingston Ave had been killed. She also said she knew the whereabouts of the suspect.

A woman approached uniformed officers in the area of Kelton and E. Livingston Avenues just after 10:40 p.m. and told them that a woman had been killed inside an apartment above a business at 1127 E. Livingston Avenue, Sgt. David Shimberg of the Homicide Unit said.
She also told the officers that she knew who had killed the woman and where he could be found, Shimberg said.
Officers found the victim, whose name and age were withheld pending notification of next-of-kin, suffering from multiple stab wounds and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Brian Belton was arrested without incident at a business in the 3000 block of E. Main Street and was taken to police headquarters for processing where he was charged with murder and transported to the Franklin County Jail.
This is the 12th homicide of the year in Columbus.
