DUBLIN (AP) — Martin Kaymer had a 68 with a bogey on his last hole to join a three-way tie for the lead going into the weekend at the Memorial.
Kaymer, a two-time major champion and former No. 1 player in the world, is coming up on the five-year anniversary of his last win at the 2014 U.S. Open.
Troy Merritt fired a 6-under 66 to grab a share of the lead with Kaymer and Kyoung-Hoon Lee who fired a 67.
Jordan Spieth is one shot back and one ahead of a quintet that includes Adam Scott and Rickie Fowler.
