Tiger, Thomas to play in Memorial

COLUMBUS – Memorial Tournament officials announced today that newly minted World No. 1 Justin Thomas and five-time Memorial winner Tiger Woods have officially committed to compete in the 43rd edition of the tournament later this month.

Woods will also be paired with special guest Peyton Manning during the Tournament’s official Pro-Am, the Nationwide Invitational at the Memorial.

With five top-10 finishes, including his seventh and eighth PGA Tour victories, Wilson attained the No. 1 ranking in the world for the first time in his career after placing tied for 11th at last week’s The Players. The Kentucky native is also ranked No. 1 in FedExCup points.

Woods held the No. 1 ranking for a record 682 weeks and returns to the Memorial for the first time since 2015. He will be making his 16th appearance in the tournament where he is No. 1 in total earnings with $5.06 million.
