COLUMBUS – A man shot outside a Southeast Side pizza restaurant nearly two weeks ago has died, becoming the 35th homicide victim of 2017 in Columbus.

Police officers and fire personnel dispatched to the Donato’s Pizza, 2922 Noe Bixby Road, on a report of a shooting at approximately 10:43 a.m. on March 31 found Clarence Harris, who told them he had been shot by two men who tried to rob him during a drug deal, Sgt. Dave Sicilian of the homicide unit said.
Harris, 37, was taken to Grant Medical Center and was expected to survive but Sicilian he died on Monday evening.
Sicilian says investigators are looking for two black men, one of whom goes by the nickname “Tone.”
When the officers arrived on the scene the morning of the shooting, they were met by two Madison Township o who said they had been flagged down in the area of Noe Bixby and Chatterton Roads and told there was a man lying on the ground in front of the restaurant with multiple gunshot wounds.
