Columbus city roads crews were clearing the freeway system, including portions of State Routes 315, 104 and 161 as well as U.S. 33; arterial streets, which provide access to the freeway system, and the collector streets that provide for traffic movement between arterials and residential streets, early Tuesday morning and were planning to turn their attention to residential streets late Tuesday evening or early Wednesday Department of Public Service spokesman Jeffrey Ortega said.
Crews will plow around parked cars and will try to navigate narrow streets when deemed safe but Ortega recommended residents use off-street parking where possible or park as close to the curb as they can.
