Columbus police closed a Downtown intersection near OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and set up a decontamination site as a precaution after Fire Division paramedics took the possible Ebola patient there for treatment, acording to a report in The Columbus Dispatch.

“On any given day we monitor several individuals that have traveled from one of the countries affected by the outbreaks of Ebola in west Africa. One of our travelers wasn’t feeling well this [morning], so she was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. At this point, we do not know if this patient will be tested for Ebola,” Rodriguez told Sunny95.com.

Rodriguez told the newspaper his department became ware of the woman’s symptoms about noon today and notified other city officials per protocol for Ebola and other highly infectious diseases.

Rodriguez did not have immediate information on where the woman had traveled or how long she had been in the United States following that travel. He did not know her age and did not release the name of the hospital where the woman is being evaluated.
