COLUMBUS – A report of a “man on fire” led authorities to a gruesome discovery on the South Side Tuesday morning.

Officers and fire personnel responding to the report in the 200 block of Southard Drive at approximately 10:29 a.m. found a man and a woman in front of the home, both suffering from severe burns over much of their bodies and a building in the rear of the main residence fully engulfed in flames, homicide unit Sgt. Dave Sicilian said.
The two were taken to O.S.U. Medical Center with life threatening injuries, he said.
As officers and fire personnel checked the home for additional victims they found the body of another man who was likely the victim of a homicide unrelated to the fire, Sicilian said.
Sicilian says police are not releasing the names of the victims pending notification of their next of kin.
The investigation continues.
