COLUMBUS, Ohio – One person was killed and three others injured when a pickup collided with a Groveport-Madison Local Schools bus at the intersection of Broad and High streets in downtown Columbus Friday morning.
Two pedestrians standing on the nearby sidewalk were struck and one of them died at the scene, Division of Fire assistant public information officer Lee Cole said.
The other pedestrian and two occupants of the pickup were taken to area hospitals.
Three students aboard the bus and the driver were treated for minor injuries.

The accident was reported at approximately 10:10 a.m. when the pickup struck the bus which Groveport-Madison school officials said was carrying four students participating in a work-study program.
Cole says the two people in the pickup had to be extricated from the vehicle.
A hospital spokeswoman confirmed that three people had been transported to Grant Medical Center, two of them in critical condition and one in serious condition.
The intersection of Broad and High streets was closed for several hours during the rescue and investigation.
