COLUMBUS – A 1-year-old girl and a 26-year-old man are recovering from gunshot wounds suffered in a drive-by shooting on the Southeast Side Wednesday night.

The child’s mother called 911 at approximately 7:16 p.m. to report that her daughter and the man had been shot in a home in the 3000 block of Center Ridge Way, Sgt. Doug Jones of the Felony Assault Unit said.

The girl had been shot in the stomach and the man, who was visiting the home, had been shot in the lower body. Both were transported by medics to local area hospitals where they were listed in stable condition and are expected to fully recover from their injuries, Jones said.
