COLUMBUS — Quarterback J.T. Barrett passed for three touchdowns and rushed for another and Ohio State routed Maryland 62-14.
Ohio State outgained the Terrapins 361-26 in the first half and the stingy Buckeyes defense held Maryland to 66 total offensive yards, the least amount of total yards the Buckeyes have allowed in a Big Ten game since allowing 60 yards to Indiana in 1960.
Quarterback Max Bortenschlager was shut down by Ohio State and left the game after being shaken up in the third quarter.
Barrett finished 20 for 31 for 261 yards and amassed 300 or more yards of total offense for the 18th time in his 42-game career.
