11-year-old missing on South Side

COLUMBUS – Columbus police are asking for help locating an 11-year-old boy who was reported missing Sunday night from the South Side.

UPDATE: Jahziel Gierhart was located, unharmed and in good health, by a parent of one of his friends in the area of Hilock Road at about 6:00 a.m. Monday

Investigators say Jazhiel Gierhart left a friend’s home on his bicycle at 8:30 p.m. and was supposed to be riding with his brother to their home on Rumsey Road but never arrived.

He was last seen wearing a black Adidas jacket with green lettering, black adidas windbreaker pants with green stripes and black Lebron James shoes.

He is described as 4’11”/70 lbs. with brown eyes and hair.
