12-year-old charged in convenience store robbery

COLUMBUS – Two 12-year-old girls were charged with robbery after a gang of your teens ransacked a West Side convenience store Tuesday, according to Columbus police.

Police say a group of about 15 boys and girls were stealing items from the Marathon station at 2805 W. Broad Street around 4:39 p.m. when they knocked down the clerk as they fled the store, breaking her wrist, according to a post on the Division of Police Twitter feed.

Two 12-earold girls who were caught were charged with robbery, police said.
