12-year-old ran away while dad was at work

COLUMBUS – Police are asking for help locating a Southwest Side girl who ran away from home while her father was at work over the holiday weekend.

UPDATE: Aqiera Brown was recovered by the Columbus Division of Police on Tuesday. She was in good health and no foul play was suspected in the case.

Aqiera Brown, 12, was last seen with her father shopping on Saturday, according to investigators with the Columbus Police Missing persons Unit.

When they arrived home, her father left for work and would not be returning until Monday. When he did, Aquiera was not there.

Officers and detectives checked with neighbors, family and friends before issuing an Endangered Runaway Advisory.

Aquiera is described as 5’3”/ 120 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black leggings.
