COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police are looking for the man suspected of raping a 13-year-old girl while she was waiting for a school bus in North Linden early Tuesday morning.
The girl was waiting at a school bus stop on Myrtle Avenue east of Dresden Road at approximately 6:30 a.m. when she was approached by a man, described as short, disheveled and black, with a full beard and wearing a brown jacket and dark pants, according to Sgt. Mark Kaeppner of the Special Victims Unit.
Kaeppner says the man talked to the girl before forcing her behind a vacant home on Myrtle Avenue and assaulting her before running away.
The girl was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Kaeppner said.
