COLUMBUS – Police hope a 13-year-old boy can provide some clues to who shot him on an East Side street Monday.

Shermon Wright told officers that he was standing in front of an apartment building on Cushing Drive just before 5:20 p.m. when an unknown suspect began firing at him and shot him multiple times in his mid-section, according to detectives with the Assault Unit.
Wright was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery.
Police said he was unable to give a statement while in surgery.
