COLUMBUS – A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an accidental shooting Saturday that injured his 15-year-old stepbrother.
Columbus police say Marquaze West and Keisoun Ransaw were sitting at a gas pump at the Speedway station at E. Broad Street and Outerbelt Street at approximately 3:00 p.m. when a handgun West was handling in the backseat went off, hitting Ranshaw in the face.
Ranshaw was taken to Mt. Carmel East Hospital in stable condition, Assault Unit Sgt. Stanley Latta said.
