COLUMBUS — Columbus police say a 14-year-old boy was killed by a 15-year-old boy in North Linden Friday night and that witnesses have told officers the shooting may have been an accident.
Columbus police homicide detectives say the shooting occurred at a residence in the 800 block of Weldon Avenue around 8:00 p.m.
Officers found Xavier Quinn unresponsive on the floor of the home and he died later at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Don Jarvontia Braggs-Rash, 15, ran to his home about a block away, where he was arrested and charged with murder.
Sgt. J.R. Strayer of the Homicide Unit said witnesses indicated to detectives that the shooting was an accident.
This was the 61st homicide of 2019 in Columbus.
