COLUMBUS – A teenager is under arrest in the slaying of another 15-year-old while Columbus police continue to search for whoever stabbed a woman to death over the weekend.
Homicide Unit investigators say Keelland Sotton, 15, was arrested Saturday for the murder of Kaleb White on Friday.
White was shot from a vehicle while walking just north of the intersection of Barnett Road and E. Livingston Avenue just after 6:00 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene, Sgt Christ Holzhauser said.
Holzhauser says police are still looking for clues in the stabbing death of a 53-year-old woman inside an apartment Friday afternoon.
Officers responding to 5460 Carmichael Street on a report of a dead person inside the apartment found Maribeth Quinn, Holzhauser says.
Though the cause of her death was not immediately clear, an autopsy Saturday determined that she had been stabbed, Holzhauser said.
Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730 or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 614-645-TIPS.
