COLUMBUS – Police have not named any suspects in two murders Wednesday night, including the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy on the Northeast Side.
Officers answering a shooting report on Laurelwood Drive shortly after 7:00 p.m. found Aboubakary Diawara lying in the yard near the intersection ith Vicki Court, homicide detectives said.
Diawara, 15, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Columbus Dispatch reports that initial reports indicated that Diawara had been shot while running from the shooter.
About 90 minutes later, officers were called to the 2300 block of Marcia Drive, near Woodland Avenue, on the report of a man lying on the sidewalk found Eddie Lovely, 30, critically injured from an apparent gunshot wound, investigators said. Lovely was also pronounced dead at the shooting scene.
Police had no motives or suspects in either incident.
