18-year-old shot in East Side home

COLUMBUS, Ohio – There were plenty of people around when O’Shequen Strickland was shot, but no one has been arrested in the death of the 18-year-old man on the East Side Thursday afternoon.

Strickland was shot just before at 2:46 p.m. inside a bedroom of a home at 1829 Penfield Court South. Officers found him in a bedroom with a gunshot wound and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:46 p.m., Homicide Unit detectives said

Multiple witnesses at the scene were taken to Columbus Police headquarters for interviews and another person – identified only as a black male — had fled the scene the officers arrived but the actual facts relating to the shooting remain shrouded in mystery, investigators said.
