COLUMBUS, Ohio – Authorities in Fairfield County are looking for a suspect they think has tried to assault two different women in the Violet Meadows subdivision in Pickerington in the last two months.
In each of the two incidents, reported in July and September a man approached a woman from behind, placed his arms around her, and attempted to pick her up to carry her away, Sheriff Dave Phalen said.
The victims were able to get away and the subject escaped.
“Deputies responded to the areas each time and conducted a thorough search, but was unable to locate anyone at that time,” said Phalen.
Phalen says the suspect may be African-American or Hispanic, is approximately 5’10” tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
