COLUMBUS – Columbus homicide detectives say one man was killed in a double shooting at a restaurant near Port Columbus early Monday morning.
Police say one person was shot inside the Waffle House at 1405 N. Cassady Avenue just before 3:00 a.m. and Chase Breitigan, 29, person was shot in the parking lot.

Officers say they found Breitigan dead in an SUV in the restaurant parking lot. They say he had been shot. But it wasn’t immediately clear whether the shooting occurred in the parking lot or at another location.
Police say the other person was injured inside the restaurant in a fight that broke out there. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the fight and the fatal shooting were connected.
Homicide detectives continued to investigate Monday morning. Police said they had no other information for immediate release.
