2 teens recovering from gunshot wounds

COLUMBUS – Two 16-year-olds were among five people shot in Columbus over the weekend.

One teen was shot in the cheek and was given pain medication so was unable to tell police the location where he was shot.

A 24-year-old man who was apparently shot in the same incident late Saturday night was also treated at a hospital for a gunshot to the leg.

Both are expected to survive their injuries.

Another 16-year-old boy walked into the emergency room at Riverside Methodist Hospital just before 1:30 Monday with a gunshot wound to his right cheek but was unable to make a statement to police. He is also expected to survive.
