COLUMBUS – A third suspect in the 2015 death of a man who was apparently murdered and dumped from a van was arrested Wednesday after a standoff with police in Joplin, Mo.

Davon Granger, 22, was taken into custody after a five-hour standoff and will be returned to Columbus to face a murder charge in the slaying of Courtney Elmore in May 2015, according to Columbus police and the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
Elmore, then 29, was seen getting into a white or cream colored minivan in the area of Willamont and Walcutt avenues on the Northeast Side on May 31, 2015, and was found dead on the ground when the van pulled away, Columbus homicide unit Sgt. Stanley Latta said.
Two suspects, a man and a woman, have pleaded not guilty to charges surrounding Elmore’s death.
Latta says the case remains under investigation.
