22-year-old murder still probed

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 1991 murder of a Columbus woman whose body was found on a roadside is the latest case to receive the attention of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Unsolved Homicides Initiative.

A passing motorist discovered the body of Sheronda Norris on September 16, 1991, on the side of Agler Road, just east of Sunbury Road. According to family, she was last seen alive the previous day, when she was reportedly going to her aunt’s house on E. 23rd Avenue in Columbus, but never arrived.

Investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office continue to search for anyone who may have information regarding the crime and would like to speak with anyone who may have any information, including anyone who had contact with Norris prior to her death.
