COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) A Galena man accused of beating and strangling his pregnant girlfriend and burying her beside a cornfield is being held on $2 million bond, according to an official in a court clerk’s office.
The bond was set Monday in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas for Jacob Ferrero, 23.

The charges against him include aggravated murder, aggravated arson, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. Court records indicate he hasn’t entered a plea, and there was still no attorney listed for him after Monday’s arraignment.
Police say Ferrero confessed to killing Samantha Greenlee, 22, and her unborn child on Oct. 8, then burying the woman and later burning their apartment. Police say he led officers to Greenlee’s body near a suburban church.
