MARION, Ohio (AP) – Authorities say three people have been killed and 11 others injured in a fiery, multi-vehicle crash in north-central Ohio.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened Monday afternoon on state Route 423 in Marion.
The victims have been identified as Johanna Sisson, 45, Edwin Sisson, 50, and Amanda Sisson, 27, all of Marion and, reportedly all members of the same family.
Troopers say the crash happened when a car sideswiped another vehicle before continuing down the road and hitting four other vehicles. Two of those vehicles burst into flames as a result of the collision.
Authorities say a total of eleven people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It was unclear early Tuesday if charges will be filed.
The crash remains under investigation.
