3 shot at rec center

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Columbus police are looking for witnesses after three people were hurt in a shootout outside an East Side rec center Thursday night.

Two people were fighting outside the Beatty Rec Center, 247 N. Ohio Avenue, shortly after 9:30 p.m. when Dominique Bryant and several other men pulled handguns and started shooting at each other, homicide detectives said.

Bryant, 22, was injured, along 19-year-old Aaron Jamar and Devan Cooper, 23, and all three were hospitalized in stable condition. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, police said.
