3 teens shot in 2 incidents

COLUMBUS – Three teenagers were injured in separate shooting incidents in Columbus Wednesday and Thursday.

A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old told police they were stopped at the light at the intersection of Livingston Avenue and Alum Creek Drive at approximately 11:30 p.m. when four men pulled up next to them in a black four-door car and fired 10 shots into the teens’ car, detectives said.

The passenger was shot twice in the leg and stomach while the driver sustained a wound to his right leg.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the groin while he lay in bed inside a home in the 2400 block of Taylor Avenue on the Northeast Side just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say he was listed in stable condition at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.

Security video shows two suspects getting out of a gray Chevrolet Malibu and opening fire on the home, police said.
