CHILLICOTHE — A third person has died from apparent gunshot wounds following violent assaults that investigators in southern Ohio believe are related.
Ross County sheriff’s deputies found Thomas Littler, 63, and Leann Potts, 46, dead shortly after 4:00 p.m. Monday at a home along rural Bowman Road after responding to a report of a male and female with life-threatening injuries a few miles away at another home in the 4500 block of Vigo Road near Londonderry, roughly 50 miles south of Columbus.
Rick Adams, 50, and the injured woman were taken to Adena Regional Medical Center and then to Grant Medical Center, where Sheriff George Lavender says Adams died Tuesday.
Investigators say all three who died had gunshot wounds and other injuries but Lavender says the exact cause of death will be determine during an autopsy by the Ross County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities haven’t publicly identified any suspect or possible motive.
Investigators from the Lavender’s office, the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are investigating.
