COLUMBUS – Four players expected to play key roles in Ohio State’s defense of its college football national championship will miss the Buckeyes’ first game of the season, the Department of Athletics announced Thursday.
Junior defensive end Joey Bosa, sophomore H-back Jalin Marshall, junior H-back Dontre Wilson and senior receiver Corey Smith will sit out the Sept. 7 game at Virginia Tech “for violating Department of Athletics policy,” department spokesman Jerry Emig said in a statement.
