COLUMBUS – Four people were taken to area hospitals Friday morning after a two-alarm fire at an Northeast Side apartment building.

One of the people suffered an ankle injury after jumping from a second-story window two escape the flames while another suffered from smoke inhalation, said fire division spoksesman Battalion Chief Steve Martin, who did not have any information on the other injures early Friday.
Martin says three of the victims were taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital while the other went to Grant Medical Center. He said non of the injuries appeared life-threatening.
Fire was first reported at the Sandstone Manor Apartments at 4:23 a.m.
