COLUMBUS – Columbus Police have charged nine people with various charges in connection with the destructive street party known as “ChittFest.”
Seven people were charged with riot and related offenses and two others were charged with receiving stolen property and criminal damaging in the wake of the party on Chittenden Avenue in the OSU campus area on April 17, the same day as the Buckeyes’ annual spring football scrimmage.
Three more suspects may face charges of riot and one may be charged with criminal damaging, according to Division of Police public information officers Lt. Jennifer Alicea and Sgt. James Fuqua.
Columbus police continue to work with Crime Stoppers and the Ohio State’s Office of Student Life Conduct to further additional suspects.
