COLUMBUS, Ohio – A man who police say confessed to beating and strangling his pregnant girlfriend and burying her beside a cornfield will be arraigned on aggravated murder and other charges.
An arraignment for Jacob Ferrero, 23, of Galena was scheduled Monday in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.
He is accused of killing Samantha Greenlee, 22, and her unborn child on Oct. 8, then burying the woman and later burning their apartment. The charges include murder, aggravated arson, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
Police say he admitted his involvement in the fire and slaying and led police to Greenlee’s body near a suburban church.
Court records list no attorney for Ferrero. A representative from the public defender’s office said Friday that it isn’t representing Ferrero.
