Alice in Slider-land

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Alice Cooper will be inducted into his second Ohio-based hall of fame Monday afternoon in Columbus.

The veteran shock-rocker will be ushered into White Castle’s Craver Hall of Fame by company president Lisa Ingram in a ceremony at the burger chain’s Goodale Street headquarters,

Cooper’s love for White Castle sliders – and “the occasional chocolate milkshake” — inspired the chain to honor him while he is in town this week performing on his All Bad Things tour.

In 2011, Cooper and his band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Cooper is the first Rock and Roll Hall of Famer to be inducted into the Cravers Hall of Fame.

Originally from Detroit, Cooper is known as “The Godfather of Shock Rock” for Incorporating a showman-like quality to his stage shows, usually featuring macabre props and costumes.

White Castle is accepting applications for the 14th Annual Cravers Hall of Fame Contest through July 31.
