All-Star Game a “no drone zone”

CINCINNATI – “Recreational unmanned aerial vehicles” – better known as drones — will not be permitted to be flown at any All-Star Game events in Cincinnati.

City officials say there were no specific events prompting the warning. But they say recreational drones generally create security challenges.

The city says drones also are not allowed in downtown Cincinnati or northern Kentucky or in air space over the Ohio River. Prohibited areas include Great American Ball Park and Paul Brown Stadium.

Federal Aviation Administration regulations already restrict most use of unmanned aircraft.
