According to a report by WTOL-TV in Toledo, police say James Christopher Ramey shot the child’s mother, Mandi Mangas, inside her father’s home. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.
The alert was issued just before 7:30 a.m. by the Fulton Co. Sheriff, asking for help locating Winston Ramey, who was reported missing at 5:09 a.m. from an address on Fernwood in Delta, a town west of Maumee.
Police believed the child was with Ramey, 27, who was his father and whom authorities considered armed and dangerous.
