Arrest in case of body in burning car

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Pleasantville man is in jail in connection with the discovery of a dead body inside a burning car in Fairfield County over the weekend.

This article has been updated to include murder charges against Miller and the increased bond.

Bond was set at $1.5 million for Kenneth Miller, 48, of Pleasantville, who was being held in the Fairfield County Jail Monday on two counts of murder for the death of Kelly Thompson of Lancaster, Sheriff Dave Phalen said.

Thompson’s body was found inside a burning car found Saturday morning in the area of Gunbarrel and Miller Siding Roads near Rushville.

Lt. Tim Voris of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau says, after executing a search warrant on his Cattail Road home Sunday afternoon, authorities took Miller into custody.
