Balloons call attention to missing children

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio’s top law enforcement official marked Missing Children’s Day Friday at a West Side school.

Missing Children’s Day is May 25.

Attorney General Mike DeWine was scheduled to join approximately 1,000 students from the Columbus Preparatory Academy for a balloon launch to draw attention to missing children in Ohio. Each balloon represented a missing Ohio child.

DeWine was also expected to release the 2014 Ohio Missing Children Clearinghouse report, and the U.S. Postal Service was set to unveil a new postage stamp aimed at bringing attention to the effort to find missing children nationwide.
