COLUMBUS – Police have not named any suspects in the city’s 123rd homicide of the year.
Dominic Davon Williams was shot to death inside the Photo Shop Lounge, 1420 E. 5th Avenue, early Sunday morning, apparently during a fight, said Sgt. Jeff Strayer of the Homicide Unit.
Officers called to the bar at 2:39 a.m. on a report of a shooting found Williams, 28, inside the lounge suffering from a gunshot wound, Strayer said.
Witnesses told police that a brief altercation took place just before the shooting occurred, said Strayer.
Columbus fire personnel took Williams to Grant Medical Center where he underwent emergency treatment but died at 7:44 a.m., Strayer said.
The investigation continues.
