LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bats came away with a 5-3 win over the Clippers Wednesday afternoon at Louisville Slugger Field to avert a sweep in their three-game series.
Clippers starter Travis Banwart (0-2) gave up all five runs in the fourth inning, including a grand slam by Brandon Dixon.
Kyle McMyne got the win in relief for the Bats.
The Clippers return home to Huntington Park Friday night to begin a three-game series with Indianapolis.
