COLUMBUS – The Clippers opened a three-game series in Louisville by losing to the Bats, 7-2, on Monday night.
Kyle Crockett (1-0) pitched two innings of shutout relief to get the win for Louisvile while Shawn Morimando surrendered 5 runs on 7 hits in 4 1/3 innings on the mound.
The two teams play the second game of the series Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
