COLUMBUS – Lucas Sims and three relievers combined for a three-hit shutout as the Louisville Bats beat the Clippers 8-0 in the finale of their three-game series at Huntington Park Wednesday.
Sims struck out seven hitters during 5 1/3 innings of two-hit ball and the Bats bullpen held the Clippers to one hit over the remainder of the game to give Louisville the 2-1 series win.
The Clippers head out on their first road trip of the season, an 11-game swing that begins Thursday night in Durham.
