LOUISVILLE – Louisville won both games of a double header at Sunday afternoon, following a Saturday night rain out, winning the opener 1-0 and the second game 4-3, to win the three-game series with the Clippers.
Bats starter Jackson Stephens (3-3) went the distance, scattering seven hits over seven innings of shutout ball in the first game.
Beau Amaral’s bases-loaded triple gave the Bats most of their offense in the four-run fourth inning. Louisville led 4-1 and held on for the win.
The Clippers return home for a three-game series against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at Huntington Park beginning Tuesday night.
