COLUMBUS – A state lawmaker from central Ohio has introduced a bill in the Statehouse that would prevent mask mandates from being put into place at public schools, colleges and businesses.
That comes as the American Academy of Pediatrics issued recommendations Monday for the 2021-22 school year that include everyone older than age 2 wear masks, regardless of vaccination status.
State Sen. Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) introduced his bill the day before Gov. Mike DeWine signed legislation prohibiting the state’s public schools and universities from requiring vaccines that have not received full approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
