COLUMBUS – Buffalo rode the efforts of left-hander Scott Diamond to a 4-0 win over the Clippers at Coca-Cola Field to win the rubber-match of a three-game series.

The Clippers’ Ross Detwiler went six innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out six batters, but Diamond tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing five hits.

The Bisons outscored Columbus 9-1 while winning the final two games of the series.

Columbus heads to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to take on the RailRiders for four games before returning home to Huntington Park. Game time Thursday is 6:35 p.m.
