COLUMBUS – By the time the Clippers finally scored a run in the top of the 8th inning Tuesday night, it was too little too late. The Bisons had already put five on the board and evened the three-game series with a 5-1 win.
Buffalo starter Drew Hutchison pitched pitched 7 1/3 near perfect innings, allowing just three hits and one run.
Columbus finally pushed their run across when Tyler Naquin drove in Guillermo Quiroz on a groundball to short that was fumbled by which Alexi Casilla.
The series finale between the Bisons and Clippers is set for an early 10:35 a.m. Wednesday.
