Bisons 5, Clippers 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers’ bullpen came up short again Wednesday night, giving up five late-inning runs to the Buffalo Bisons, who won the final game of a three-game series at Huntington Park, 5-2.

T.J. House tossed five scoreless innings, but Kevin Nolan’s three-run home run in the ninth gave the Bisons the win.

Dustin Molleken gave up Nolan’s dinger, but Nick Maronde (0-5) took the loss for allowing the winning run to reach base.

Columbus took a 2-0 lead into the eighth inning, but Maronde gave up back-to-back bases-loaded walks to allow Buffalo to tie the score.

The Bisons took two games of the series.

The Gwinnett Braves come to Columbus for a four-game series beginning Thursday night.
