COLUMBUS – Buffalo jumped out in front with five runs in the first inning and went on to a 7-3 win over the Clippers Wednesday night in the second game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. brought two runs around on a single to left field, then scored on Jason Leblebijian’s three-run home run.
Matt Whitehouse (0-1) gave up all of the Bisons’ runs to take the loss. Buffalo starter Taylor Guerrieri (1-1) got the win.
The two teams play the rubber match of the series Thursday morning at 10:35.
