ATHENS (AP) — Ohio has introduced alum Jeff Boals as its new basketball coach.
Boals resigned after three years at Stony Brook to return to his alma mater.
The 46-year-old Boals was a captain for two seasons with the Bobcats and led his squad to the NCAA Tournament in 1994.
Boals worked as an assistant at the school before spending seven seasons as an assistant at Ohio State.
Boals replaces Saul Phillips, who did not have his contract renewed after five seasons.
